Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in accordance with DOT requirements)
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet
  • Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by following post orders, site-specific policies, and access control procedures at a government aviation location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter points, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor checkpoints, gates, and restricted areas by verifying identification, credentials, and vehicle authorization, and documenting entries and exits as required.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate notifications with site representatives and/or local public agencies when appropriate.
  • Complete security-related reports and activity logs, report hazards or suspicious conditions, and preserve observations for follow-up and/or investigation.
